Ok so I'm pretty well set on getting away from the scwhinn frames and move up to a more flat land specific bike. I've been looking at the dk signal and the khe stylus for the past year or so. So I was hoping to get some input from some of the more experienced fellas out there on which you'd consider is better and why? Some of my concerns include the front forks.. The KHE appears to have a standard wheel offset which is what I'm used to riding, while the DK Signal appears to have a minimal offset which seems like it'd be better for flatland. Also the TT length's, I'm 6'1" with size 11 feet. I'm afraid that with the shorter frame of the KHE I'll be hitting the front tire a lot by mistake while pedaling. The WTP Metric is quite appealing to me as well. But not sure if I want to shell out that extra $150. So any advice? Or possibly other bike suggestions within the $300-$500 range?
Thanks, Matt

It's the new year...DK now makes the Opsis...which is what I just got. I just started riding flat again, and so far the DK has been alright. It's a good bike to get started with. I'm 6'02' with size 10 feet and I have noticed I have a bit of trouble getting my foot in under the frame for scuff tricks like funky chickens. My feet clear the front tire...and don't hit the back pegs when pedaling, and it has a bit more length to it. I bent the cheap pedals already, after only three or four riding sessions, but I also bunnyhop like I ride my street bike. I figure you won't have trouble with them(and they are shin friendly) if you don't ride it like a street bike. My other complaint is the cheap, old fashioned seat and seat post...which scraps the side of my leg when I kick off for rolling tricks like whiplashes. The minimal offset fork is much better for flat...I was worried too, as I am used to normal forks. But I can tell it helps with balance. I would say, overall the DK is a good bike for the price. I looked at the KHE also, but I was too worried about the internal gyro thingie...looks like a huge pain in the butt. I think both bikes are sorely needed for begginers though. Anything that bike manufacturers make that makes these bike affordable are great in my book. I will slowly put better parts on it as needed...but for now, the DK suits me fine. Now quit looking...and get started!

I think the Opsis looks and sound like a good ride. If frame clearance bothers you, why not try a frame similar to my bike? AJ
