Does anybody know of good stree riding spots in the L.A. area?
It all seems so spread out around here that it would take a lot driving around if you don't know where to go.

Henery is in SD but he might know. I will have to ask him to check the thread.

I found out about one spot frequented by bikers and skaters in West Los Angeles. Haven't taken my bike there yet, but I've seen it. It looked interesting. It's located off of Santa Monica Blvd and Corinth (a few blocks West of the 405). I think it's the courthouse or some gov't building, but it's not guarded after hours. I might do this one next week.

So, is it open yet? Do you ride park at all. I've never had a chance to ride a skate park. Used to ride "real" street, but didn't have a park handy.

This park is all ramps and grinding rails. It just opened up. it's a Tony Hawk deal, like donated to a small poor town like frazier park. Hopefully it will get some of the druggie kids into ridin'? I used to dabble in street, but was aways a flat dude..........and these days I don't have INS. to cover any injuries for ridin' street............what i don't get about this skatepark is that they have a "rent'a fence" around the whole thing? Like they will eventually put up their own fence with a gate and hours posted i guess? I see kids jammin' in there though? They just put this park up like 2 weeks ago.

Igor! I wouldn't mind trying to ride half pipe again. Although I never got any major air, I did have a lot of fun on it. I just need to assemble my street/park bike as it's in pieces right now. Not to mention in need of new spokes! So if you can locate a park with a half pipe, let me know. I'd gladly make the trip up and hang out.
Hrm, actually...I wonder if Skate Lab is still open in Simi Valley? Not sure of their bike hours tho.

There's a skate park in Santa Clarita that allows bikes (at least it did a year ago). I went to check it out and it's good for probably some street-like stuff. Nothing major as a half-pipe. I haven't actually been there to ride because I never got around to getting all the safety gear and now with my street bike all torn apart ... I might be rebuilding it soon, but it's resting for now Never heard of the simi valley thing. I'll check it out
