YOYOYO! It's February! This is going to be a great month for flatland and I'm ready for it ;D
I've been totally freaking out on flatland lately, and I love it. Yesterday at the garage was super cool. We had a truck-bed full of bikes and riders from SA come out and they tore it up. I picked up Hecktor Dangus who always shreds, along with Tod doing maximum speed links. awesome stuff. The OG crew was really in top form-great to see those guys ride so well.
I'm inching closer to a couple things I'm working on, actually, I'm going out riding right now!
Mark, I can't wait to hear all about Fight with Flight. There were some ballers out there- I heard Steve Muldar was in effect.
ride hard!

Jim, doesn't take you long to get this new thread started...I love your enthusiasm for flat. Thanks again for the spacers...sorry for running you over. Hope your okay. Nice links yesterday, I think you are on the verge of being able to do whatever you like. Once you have those basic skills(and you do) you have that ability to do whatever tricks you want. I think this year will be HUGE for you.
I need to relearn some of those skills...like scuffing and rolling without the aide of brakes. Well, I think a lot of people "cheated" with brakes back then, but slowly I am using them less. Maybe I should just forgo scuffing all together and just concentrate on links. I practiced fire-hydrants to different stuff. Would like to use them to start links like pinky squeeks, Karl kruisers, and that sort of stuff. I noticed Ruben put his front brakes back on, and I love the links he does with them. He is a master at those sort of links. I hope to get some riding time in today. The OG is a motivational aspect of riding for me. Great people and riding. The San Antonio guys were something else, and great to see them make it down to Austin. Maybe we should go down there someday and ride at their local spot.

Okay I didn't ride today but I did Yesturday. I pulled a new trick for me. It was unexpected! I rolled a h5 and stepped into freak squeak and kept going. I was in shock. So much shock that I fell out..hahah Good times. I will be out of pocket this weekend. My family will be in town. I still may show up at the OG on Saturday for about a hour. Sorry no Friday session for me... Keep on Riding!

Mark...good deal. I love the hang five to freak squeak! That was probably my favorite trick to do back in the day. I liked haulin' butt and then just throw the leg over the bars and glide that freak squeak. No scuffing...just drag the foot on the tire for balance. I'm bummed that I can't do them anymore because of me not having full range of motion in my knee. After the knee surguries, my knee sucks. I even went out and got low rise bars with a way low crossbar, so that I could do that trick specifically! My knee still will not bend enough! Time for Yoga! I used to throw my foot over the crossbar...now, i'm thinking I could take my hand off and throw it around my grips. How do you do it? Here's an idea for you...do a circular hang five...let the frame start swinging around and then pop your foot over the crossbars, drag your foot on the tire...let the bike come around and do sort of a half-lash. You could do it into funky chicken, or you could do it into steam or some other rolling trick. Man, I am excited for you and jealous at the same time! Good work. Don't freak yourself out, you have the skills to do it on a constant basis! My riding is suffering...I have to many other hobbies. Just got a uni-cycle and have been playing with that. I just need to get rid of all my other bikes...so I am forced to ride only flat! Also, just ordered a Strowler, for cheap. Frame looks good.

Also, can't make it to the OG this weekend...my wife has to work, so she has her car. Which is how I usually get up there. But, I will ride some here...and make it up next weekend for the Canadians. You should post a thread on here so some people will know.

Had a decent session yesterday, but my knee was really making consistancy difficult. I'm thinking of taking this week off from riding to see if I can be in better shape for this next weekend. Also thinking of getting an MRI(finally) and possibly having surgery to fix whatever exactly is wrong with it if needed. I'm just so tired of constantly dealing with knee issues. anyways. hope ya'll are well, see ya soon!

Today's riding consisted of trying flatland moves on a "tall bike"...it looks really stupid, but is a ton of fun. Chris Balles and I checked out the uni-cycle football game...

Today I rode for a total of about 20 min. Before it got dark. I can't wait till I can ride for more than a hour. Hopefully this weekend will be filled with riding! On a cool note I feel very confidant that I will be doing hitchhikers in the very near future!
Keep on Riding!

I've been off the bike for a while but rode today and had an ok session. it was just in the back yard spot but fun. landed a bunch of cliffhangers in a row. trying to get that, F-it I'm landing it, mentality. don't take no for an answer, whether you think you're gonna land it or you're gonna touch, you're right. haha I'm totally looking forward to seeing the hockey playing canadians out at the OG this weekend. Hope they don't melt in the texas heat eh. should be funny.
hope yall are doing well out there. see ya soon. dw

I was feeling pretty juicy yesterday and was happy with my riding. def feeling it this morning tho, but hopefully I got some juice left today is going to be amazing. wishing I was at the show...

Today was OUT OF THIS WORLD. We rode from 6 am till about 8 p.m. So much footage from today. We rode at the Austin Marathon and entertain a few thousand runners for a hour or so. Then we held Canadian Invasion and we had a total 30 Riders not including family members show up to jam and session with each other. It was truly amazing. Photos and Video will be up along with what went down. I can't wait to share everything with you!
Keep on Riding!

This past weekend was so much fun. I am currently putting my new frame together...I need to practice, and progress some. I am getting that old feeling from riding flat again. It's so much fun. Again, this weekend rocked! I'm just bummed I had to go to work Sunday night.

Today I went out to the OG with the Canadian Crew! That was fun. My body feels rejuvenated! Didn't ride very hard but my body has been so sore this past weekend I needed to rest. Worked on some hang 5's and stuff like that. It was cool!
Keep on Riding!

That's one hell of a effect. I like it very much. Did you edit that way or did your camera do that? I need to ride for about 10 min today!
