testing a 19" Mankind Alive. the rear end is stupid short; had to remove 2 half links to build it. I want to see how long I can go on TT length and still like it... crappy cellphone pic (imagine it black lol)

The new guys old ride. This is my survivor. Of all the stuff I've sold, gave away, or lost, this is the one I still have. Bought it new in '85 from Rockville BMX. Until a week ago I had my perigrine wheels on it. I have always wanted to switch to spoke wheels and I don't want to break the mags so I found these and put them on. I kind of like it. If you can't tell, the stem is what's left of the ACS rotor system I bought. It lasted about 3 weeks and blew up. Guess it doesn't always pay to run right out and buy the latest stuff. This is a 48 spoke coaster hub scavenged from a "NEXT" bike found in a thrift store. This chain ring was inherited from a friend. He made the " no babies" sticker from one of his baby pics. Pretty cool.

Hey Matt,
Glad you found the message boards. 1985!! That was a great year. I started riding in 86. I was into skateboards in 85. It looks in great shape too! Wow really cool!
