Wot up all! Been riding since '98. Took some time off coz I don't know why, guess I got busy. O, and I wanted to dabble in the street/park/dirt scene a lil'. Anywho, I got a custom ride on the way. 50/50 BMX & Skate here in UT's hookin' me up. Check'm out if yer in the area OR check'm out online at 5050bmx.com they ship across the states! Actually I gotta give my props ta Flatlandfuel.com coz they're 5050's distributor, ANYWAY. Global-flat.com has my future ride. Check it out, my username's "Phlatsomagee". I just had a beautiful baby boy and is the love of my life!! You can click at Myspace.com/adrenal_gland for more stuff on me I guess. Some is made up, obviously, but you take a guess on what's what. Flat 4 Life, sucka! =)

What's up fools! My name is (re)tod...I live in San Marcos Tejas and I just started riding flat again after 16 years or so away. I actually have been riding street and ramps this whole time...but I am gettin' tired of wrecking myself. I went to see my buddy Chris Balles flat contest, Texas Roundup, and I was stoked to see flat again. Just got a DK Opsis to ride flat, and have been learning a few old tricks. Actually, everytime I go ride flat I re-learn something, so it's been fun. I used to ride flat with Chris Balles in the mid to late eighties, and have so many good memories of riding with him. Rad Dad, do you know how to get ahold of that cat? I also want to come ride some at OG with you guys. Do you guys just show up on Saturdays? Anywho...thanks to Rad Dad for being an inspiration...you are never to old to ride and progress.

Welcome back to flat!! Yeah I talk to Chris probably 3 times out of the week. I am glad you made it out to the Round UP. Yeah we ride Saturdays as a large group. There are riders there through the week sporadically but on Saturday between the hours of 3-8 is when all the magic happens. Some times people show up earlier but for the most part any time after 3 is a good time show up. A few of us will be down there today on the 31 of December for News Eve Session and Celebrate "EZ's" Birthday. We will all show up on Saturday though.
Hope to see ya out there soon!!
Keep on Riding!!

Hey Mark...thanks for the reply. A few questions if you don't mind. The Oltorf Garage...can you give me directions? I'm coming from San Marcos. Is it on the east side or west side of the highway? Also, where should I park? Can we park somewhere in the garage...or should I find a place outside? Well, I hope to meet everyone soon. Sounds like y'all have something good going in ATX.

Hey, Im Andrew, Im 20. I just began bmxing yesterday, just got my first bike, one of the cheap ones from walmart untill I get better, then I'll get a nice one. I am horrible right now I can only get a bunny hop like 2 inches off the ground, I dont know why. And I cant figure out how to kick my bike out for whiplash or anything.

hello, im new to the site...
name is carl ( you may know me from other hateful sites i was in).
im 30 almost 31 of this week..
i was pretty much was ran off of the oldschool sites... i just hoping to stay in the bmx hobby. im on globalflat mainly lurking since i just dont know anyone there, and i dont really flatland enough to be considered anything.
bmx bikes have been my favorite of all bikes.. i even ride, the road bike trails, i say road bike because all thats riding them is guys or gals on road bikes.. they all look at me as to "why is he riding that bmx." eh, its just been my type of bike or choice.
i used to street ride here and there. but.. i dont know, all the riding buddies disappeared so now im just a lonely rider, riding aimlessly lots of times.
i have my suelo simple, i try doing some flat on... mainly my fun tricks, like rockwalks to fakies down a whole block and peg manuals down that same block. physical limitations or just plain mindrage make it so i really cant learn the forward front wheel rolling tricks.. i try once in a while, but when alone.. the mindrage just dont wanna even try...
my street/trails bike is a new s&m dirtbike, but i found a TNT HWA Fong Daddy and been riding that all over. lately all i been doing 2 times a week is riding in philly, or out of it to wissahickon's trail to just relax.
i have a road bike too, i sometimes ride. just leaning on my arms for 100 miles isn't all that comfortable. im more scared of crashing on it though. road bikes make you wanna go fast, and theres less room for error.. like rocks on the road can take you out.

Post by mudn8r - Chris Moody on Oct 21, 2009 21:39:35 GMT -5
Hey everybody, my name is Chris Moody. I'm rolling up on 38 and just started riding again. I started riding back in '85 when I was in the 7th grade after seeing Dave Nourie on the cover of Freestylin', and rode all the way through college (flatland and street). I had an '86 Haro Master that I rode until I cracked the frame, then I rode the one with the built in bash guard (I think it was a '90). I stopped riding when I moved from VA to CA to work on a cruise ship as a sax player. I started riding again in 2000 when I bought a GT Pro Performer. I didn't ride for the last 8 years or so (got busy with kids). I fixed up my GT this week. Yesterday I started working on front yards and fire hydrants. I rode out of a couple of fire hydrants yesterday, and did about 6 good front yards today. It's great to be back on the bike and it's also great to see the progress of other people my age. Today my 6 year old girl was riding standing on her top tube, and she only learned to ride without training wheels 6 weeks ago and spent the lat three off her bike with a broken arm! I'm having a blast and look forward to being part of the community.
