It's been so long since my first post I should probably re-introduce myself. This is Keith from Australia, I joined up here in 06. Anyway, I ended up buying an orange WTP Sinus Pro from Flatland Fuel. Turned out it was too small for me (about 17" top tube) and I just couldn't ride it very well. I've been letting two of my nephews ride it and I'm slowly teaching them basic tricks. So anyway, I ended up buying an old '88 Haro Master like I rode back in the day, well I bought 2 actually, one as a frame & fork set with a few other parts which has since been stripped of paint and re-powder coated in the original colour sceme of gloss black/chrome but still needs more parts to be completed. The other is an 87 model complete bike originally in the coral colour they came in but was stripped back to chrome by the previous owner. It came with the knee saver bars but I've got some blue GT Performer bars to go on it like I had on my old bike. The headset cups are a bit loose in the head tube so I'll have to look into that. I did a few tricks on the weekend here at home but there's not much room here. I can manage tailwhips, frontyards (a bit awkward but will improve with the Performer bars hopefully) a few front hops, no footer endo's, infinity rolls and tried some coaster wheelies with very touchy brakes. I'm hoping to get to one of the old stomping grounds soon and try a lot more of my old tricks. Keith

Hi Guys,
My name is Clint and I want to get back into the BMX and Freestyle riding again. My cousin Mark got me started in Freestyle riding back in 1986 in the Tri-Cities Washington. Since then I've had a 86 GT Pro Freestyle Tour (wish I still had it) and 88 Redline RL 20 II. (Wish I still had that one too) Currently I'm living in Vancouver Wa. and I am trying to reconnect to the BMX and Freestyle world. I think this is an amazing sport and I'm interested in collecting the bikes that I once had and introducing myself to this all over again. I just motivated a fellow co-worker to restore his Schwinn Predator which has been sitting in his parents garage for 20 years.
Hopefully I can get to know a lot of you all on here and learn from everyone.
Clint

H! I'm Kiel, 33, from the Philippines. I would like to thank BMX freestyler staff for allowing me to be a member. I got into bmx and started at a late age, around 25, riding a generic GT copy, taiwan parts, things are getting cool so I continued riding a lot. I learned tailwhip after thousand of attemps and I'm still loving that trick until Everytime I got stressed out from work and other worries in life I just make time to at least ride for an hour or two and all my pressures are relieved. Flatland is magic, that's how I think it is. At the age of 31 I got a kid and my family had a need for a financial back up, I left my local job, flew to Libya and work. After a year and a half I just got back to riding and that's it - my life is back - good 'ol BMX. I restored my rusty nankai, cleaned up my rusty wheels ,old fly micro frame didn't even have prob with the painting, bought a Bayou bars- awesome feeling !!!! I can't describe it. My hombre brakes are busted and I'm going to restore it. Thank you Arman Mariano of ScrapBikes for the springs.
I want to thank God, and my wife for being supportive. I want to thank Raddad, BMX.F., of course I've seen your videos and it inspires me a lot.
That's all for now I'll keep you posted with the scene, if time allows me. By the way, there's a yearly Project: weapon BMX jam contest here in Manila- Flipbykes is hosting it with tons of sponsor. Last Aug 14 was the latest contest and I failed to attend.. hehe
Thank you guys and hope to chat with you soon. ;D ;D

My name is Josh and I'm from western North Carolina-about an 45min drive from Asheville. I just got started riding flat, again, like some of you guys. I started riding in 2004 to 2007 Flatland. Then, I rode street for 2 years after that. After that, I started flat again in or around Dec. 09. Anyway, I ride a 20.85" Federal T-Nez. It's ok for now; I want to get a 20.5" later. I found out a 20 or below is too short for me. Plus, i ride alot of street, so I can do one or the other when I'm out. I try to ride everyday for at least 2 hours. I want to start going to Jams and meet new riders too. I'm working on brakeless firehydrants, steam rollers in circles, and timemachines. The basics. Nice to meet you guys. Later, Josh

Hi everyone. Decided it was time to get back into flatland. Been over 20 years. Rode a CW California Freestyle back in the day. Picked up a 2010 DK Opsis for cheap last week and have been riding it every day. I'm falling a lot, bruised and sore, but I am loving every minute of it.

My name is Paul from ATX and I'm an old bmx fanatic. I'm 36 yrs old and been recently riding again for a month now. I haven't been able to pull off any old tricks other than a nasty bunny hop. lol! I first got into bmxing in 1984 with an old goose, moved to central Austin in the early 80s and after I saw a great show one night in '88 by "Oltorf" crew I was hooked on freestyle/flatland. I didn't do much flatland as I liked catching air most of the time or just building bikes from the ground up and helping my friends out. I hung it up about 1992 and went street racing with my first car. I hadn't been on a bmx since then. Today, and after a couple of back surgeries a 26” DiamondBack brought me back to walking health and realizing your never to old to ride. After seeing Rad Dad's videos I've been inspired once again by the "old skool" crew who I saw performing back in 87. So, video after video and not having a 20 inch bike I picked up a GT mach1 for my oldest son who is 7 yrs old and a 04 Mongoose-pro for me. Not knowing the scene I researched a bunch of stuff to get up to speed with bike tech so for now its just a learning curve having fun by changing things around on this heavy 28 pnd bike, possibly next year getting a new bike frame or building one to modern- retro taste.

Hey everybody - my name is Opie Caylor and I too, am getting back into riding flatland. I was hardcore from 86-92 then I got a car, started chasing girls and clubbin and the bicycle world kinda drifted away. I'm 38 now, I have two kids of my own and a wife who all like to ride bicycles. Last couple of months I've been reacclimating myself to flatland again. I can still roll hang fives for 10 to 12 parking spaces, double whiplashes, and steamrollers. And as far as scuffing I can still do front and backyards, funky chickens as well as the occassional chick squeak. The most advanced trick that I ever got almost dialed back in the day was hitchhikers. Never could do deathtrucks though. That trick has always amazed me. Anyway, looking to have more fun while staying fit and flatland freestyle is a great way to do it! Hopefully I can meet some ATL riders and not be doing it alone. Thanks, Opie
