What's up! My name is Mike...I'm 33 and I got a bite to get back into flatland. Something fun to do during the winter. I used to compete amateur when I was 13,14,15 and I haven't freestyled since then. I have a mountain bike but it's too cumbersome and quite honestly it just isn't as fun to me. I used to be able to do medium skilled tricks like steamrollers, miami hoppers, fire hydrants, boomerangs, decades... you know stuff like that...so I do know how to do some tricks still, it's just getting my balance back to the bike. Here's the bike I just bought. I know it's old school but I like double frames and if I get to the point I want a better bike I can always do it. There's a few things I am going to do to this bike but it should get my feet wet again. Just a Redline RL240 I can't stand that sprocket and I think I am going to debadge it not sure. I used to ride Haro. My last bike was an '88 Haro Master blue and black with GT power series cranks, peregrine 80 spokers (IIRC). Well sorry for the long message, been hell 15 years since I talked bikes like this! It is cool to see others here my age...hell I'm as fit as I was 15 years ago...for real! Peace!

Hey boosted,
The bike looks good to me. I also was looking for an old-style frame last year. Ended up just getting one of the new school ones with the single top tube. I used to ride a dyno slammer (the one with the bashguard), fusion cranks, rl edge 48 spoke rims, etc. I know what you mean about mountain bikes not being as fun.
Have fun riding again!

Welcome back to this awsome sport, I'v been riding a Old school kuwahara frame with tuff wheels 1s from the early 80s with the bendex coaster brake...The tricks i pull from the early 80's trip out the younglings and the tricks are so old they look new and the kiddies go nuts for the roll back sliders and the 540s on the rear tire. LOL. keep on riding..It's the best HIGH....Better than any drug...
