I have a Quamen frame and when I slide my back wheel on, the axles don't stick out far enough to mount a set of pegs. They just barely stick out enough to get a nut on. The axle in my current rear wheel is 6" long. I could remove some washers and and bend the rear chain stays in as I torque the bolts down, but this just doesn't seem right. Am I supposed to have a longer maybe 7" axle for a Quamen frame? The frame is wider than any other frames that I have. Is that how it is supposed to be? From outside to outside the chain stays measure 5.4 inches. My rear axle only sticks out like 3/8" on each side. Can I buy a 7" long axle somewhere? The slot is 3/8".
