I had a great session last night. just rode for an hour or so, but hit some new moves. I can't ride tonight, but tomorrow-I'm definitely going back out for more. Riding has been really fun lately.

Today Jim and I rode at the new spot!! Yeah thats right a new spot. Adam D found it and its Amazing! Great alternative to the Legendary O.G. I am sure we will have some video session from there. I worked on things I had just about forgotten about. I have been so wrapped up in hitchhikers and crackpakers I have let my other tricks to the waist side. Its time to bring them back and keep working on all of the tricks that I can do or want to do. I got to see jim juggle to switch handed Steam!! That was DOPE!!
Keep on Riding!

that spot is a ninja training ground. it's awesome. rolling tricks need to be super solid on there to flow, but for pumping style it's got a ton of grip. I had a lot of fun riding with Mark tonight, trying new stuff and real old stuff. didn't reach my goal, but I'm confident that tomorrow I will!
ride hard!

Ugh, this has been a disappointing week. I have yet to ride...waiting for my bars took forever(really not, just seemed that way) and I have had to work all weekend. I missed the OG yesterday...which has been what I look forward to every week now. I feel pretty confident that I have my bike set up the way I want it now. Low bars, no back brakes, freecoaster on again. Now I just have to get used to it. I think since I am just starting again, it is better to get used to a whole new setup, rather than re-learn everything on an old style bike. I still want a harder gearing though...still feels like the new ride is a circus bike! I hear the circus music in my head when I peddle my butt off but don't get going anywhere. Maybe I should incorporate juggling into my circus act.
Speaking of circus...Mark, do you remember when they had bmx in the circus? Jose Yanez(the guy that does the backflip in Rad) did flips as an act, and they had some guys riding vert and flat. Me and a buddy went to see the circus just for that, and we ended up riding with the guys in Austin. I can't remember who all. I think Jeff Cotter? Or is it Kotter? Anywho...fun times.

sorry you couldn't make it out yesterday Tod; but glad to hear that you're bike is coming together, aside from gearing that is. yesterday at the OG was off the chain. I'm about to take a bath with Epson salt-I am REALLY sore today It took me awhile to get the stress from the day out of my head and start riding decently, but after a while things started getting better. I had a big surprise; somehow I figured out hang 5 to steamroller! don't ask me how; cause I'm still not sure. I'm very stoked on that one tho! I've struggled with hang 5's for awhile now, but yesterday I thought I'd just try linking out of it. Oddly enough when I focused on linking it, it became more solid and consistant than when I tried to just do the hang 5 by itself. good times ride on!

I am pretty sore today too. I have been working on the wedding most of the day from last weekend. I also got to get busy with more web pages for freestyler site because I have missing content that I really wanted at the OG but could not access. Yesterday I worked on cracpaker and got back to scuffing 2 times!! I was excited. I can't wait to have time to record again.
Keep on Riding!
Have a great week yall

See Jim...you have too many skills(as I have said before) to bother with just a straight hang 5. Just straight to links for you. AWESOME! That makes me jealous.
Today...not a flatlander in sight. So I rode with the local uni-cycle crew...they play uni-cycle football...which looks fun. And then the fixies showed up and were doing tricks. Some of them are pretty good. I bet a flatlander could just hop on a fixie and bust out though.
Today, just got used to the new set up. I love it. Chris Balles gave me a new(to me) seat and post, which I love, and the new bars are rad. So, I had fun. Nothing new...just a nice warm day, and good riding.
Mark, your getting addicted to crack. I kid, I kid. Good work!

I'm still riding, in San Diego(CA). It's been a drag out here though, I haven't found anyone that rides during the week and do most of my riding alone in the lot outside of work(after work). I've been getting a couple hours in every other day or so. I'm still working on the basics. Started steering backwards hang5's in circles last week. And holding forwards hang5's futher and futher, but still not forever.

Rode at night when it was pretty cold here and was riding so hard and sweating so hard that I took a break and saw smoke coming around my shoulder and was like "who the heck is that smoking behind me" and it was steam coming off my back. lol
hooked up with a local rider here in tallahassee named eddie that started riding again after a few years break. had an awesome session and we got inspiration from each other.
need to get a new wheel set. the front bearings are getting sticky and front rim is dinged pretty bad, gotta save some cash. argg

Buuuurrrr Coooooolllllld!!! hhahaha It was fun though. I got a peg wheelie nailed to the floor. I got around the whole garage on one!! I was trying desperately to warm up. I also went back to work on my turbine hang 5. I think I am unlocking some hidden secrets about this elusive trick. I am leaning even harder than I used to and its getting much faster and smoother. I can't wait to try it with warmer weather Keep on Riding!

I didn't go to the OG today...I just couldn't handle the cold. The past week the weather was amazing, and I got some good sessions in. Tired because I work too much...but I did get some time in. Mark, props to you for braving the cold. I think I got a messege from you today(Saturday)...did you call. I have a phone that doesn't work very well. Sorry.

Riding yesterday was chilly for sure. I found out that cold weather really jacks with my knee, but I did get in about 30 minutes of trouble free riding in during the session where it felt ok. Jugglers are still hit or miss, mainly miss, but hitch to switch steam is getting more consistent. After these past two weeks of riding almost every day, my body is ready for a little break. My legs are exhausted! I built an Unbike yesterday. I want to learn the halfpacker scuff and roll on it. That's a position that's honestly intimidated me a little and I hope to conquer that very soon.

Jim...wow, you have been riding EVERYDAY? I wish I could. Yesterday was too cold for my knee too. One thing I have noticed since riding flat again...is my back is killing me. Smaller bikes maybe? I had a guy comment to me the other day..."Tod, I didn't know you could ride a bike like that after seeing you walk with a cane just last year?"
Rope A Ronis are my thorn in my side...they are hit or miss. Mostly miss. I really want to get a forward one by the end of the year. And pinkie squeaks. I want some back wheel combos...those always look good, and I think makes a person a well rounded flat rider.

Today I rode in front of the house and I have not worked on Crackpacker on film in awhile. I got a really good one going and I went to ask Caleb to record. I could never duplicated what I had done 2 times previously. I will have to try again latter. I got to make a update. I am so far behind its not funny. Other than that my riding was nice. I did another halfhiker!! Its funny I always thought that trick was much harder than a hitchhiker but I have been out faster of half then hikers. Funny!!
Keep on Riding!!
