^Mark, I just watched your progression video-super rad! It's hard to believe you haven't ridden in 20 years, you're totally in control Rad Dad, I hope the birthday jam was a blast, sorry I wasn't able to make it, but I was thinking about ya! this past week my injury has been at a standstill. I was hoping to ride, but it looks like it'll be a bit longer. Not riding is making me a little bit nuts, honestly. Can't wait to get back out there!

Hey Jim,
Heal up and get better. Everyone was asking about you at the O.G. on Saturday.
I had no riding today. I have not been riding much on Sundays its been the day I give my body some rest. So today I was editing Saturday Session aka Rad Dads 42nd Birthday Jam. It was a blast. What was really neat is I didn't do much recording so we all get a different persective from a different vidographer. Chadwick was not feeling too good so he asked if he could film for awhile. We got some very cool angles and we even got some great photos with the help of Alex and Adam. It was a total blast and a suprise to me to have Cake at the O.G. We are trully more than friends we are extened family!!
Mark- I just saw your 10 week progression. I amlost missed it. Very cool indeed. Ifs funny that you mention the weed. I was laughed as I was reading that! I have always wanted to try rope a roni since I saw it being done in 87 by chris day but I could never lift up on my bike in that position. I have not tried that trick in forever. Todd Miller is always doing it..maybe he can give me some tips. Nice to see your progression!!
Video is still uploading. Will post it up when its done. THe fastest way to see a video is to Subscribe that way you will get email notification when a new video is avalible. I think I put up a new video atleast every other week or so.
Keep on Riding!

Great videos there guys. I did some short vids myself but I don't how to edit them or join them together into one. Verticlesmile, that looks like pretty good progress for 10 weeks, would you say you're at the same level as before you stopped riding? Keith

Verticlesmile, that looks like pretty good progress for 10 weeks, would you say you're at the same level as before you stopped riding? Keith Hey Keith! I wish I was at the same level but I have a long way to go. Hopefully by next spring I'll be a lot closer then I can start to work on some of the newer tricks. Things are starting to "click" now though and I'm getting use to this new style bike. Back in the late 80's I had an Ozone and I swear I was so connected with that bike, by far the best bike I ever rode and my progression really took off. I tried looking for one when I got back into riding and I had a hard time tracking one down, when I finally did the guy wanted 2k just for the frame & fork.....ridiculous! But I'm not rushing things I just want to work on the basics then I can start linking things together. My only grips are I'm about 10 to 15 lbs overweight and I need to slim down & I wish I had someone to ride with as a motivator. But all in all I'm having a blast!!!

Hey Keith one more thing. I use Adobe Premiere Elements 7 Video Editing Software, it's real easy to use and a lot of fun. I'm still learning all it's features but for quick videos like the one I made it's real easy. I'd love to see your video!!!
Rad Dad.....what are you using to edit your videos?

I am using Pinnicale Studio. I have been using it for years now. Its really easy to use. Most PCs Come with Movie Maker. Its very basic but you can put video's together to share. I use photo impact for graphics editor and a program called MP3 Audio Mixer.

I had a lot of free time after work and so badly wanted to ride. The temp was around 10 degrees with a nasty strong wind.....this sucks!!

Yea wind sux big time! I went for a ride yesterday and it was fairly windy but I still managed to pull a steamroller to funky chicken without touching down. Also did a few flails, still landing on the peg instead of the pedal, and the firehydrants are improving but my cranks keep moving around on me making it difficult to ride out of them. I'm starting a 3 week holiday from work at the end of next week and the Opsis should arrive at about the same time hopefully. So heaps of time on a new bike, should be good, I just hope it doesn't get too hot too often or too windy for that matter. Keith

Not much riding for me lately. This weather is really bummin' me out. Got some new parts of the way...going to try out a zero offset fork for the first time. Might be too much for this old fool to handle. I really need to turn the riding up a notch. I have that itch, like I did 20 years ago...but now all the adult responsibilities. Ugh. Saving up for a car, so I can travel to spots again. I don't have a spot in riding distance anymore really. Need to get on that...then I can start going on road trips too!

way to much life happening to go riding today plus it was a wee bit cold. Not as cold as it was yesterday but that pesky wind cuts right through you! I am hoping to get some riding in with Mr. Frost next week. Should be a GREAT Time!!

I got to ride a bit today, snuck in some time right before the drizzle started, having a blast trying to learn stuff, it's quite a bit different (and humbling) compared to all my years skateboarding and how fast I pick up tricks on a board, but I love that I'm at the start of something and have sooooo far to go, it'll be awesome to look back a year from now and see what I've learned.
