yo yo yo, last month was pretty freakin rad and ended on an amazing high note with Shintaro coming to town and riding with us for the McDuff jam. I'm stoked on June and can't wait to see what it has in store, tomorrow's Freestyle Friday and I can't wait to get some riding in, hope everyone else is off to a good start this month and keep riding!!

this past month has been epic, so much going on! i just moved yesterday and found some spots already, hopefully the cops/security are cool here. I rode inside my garage last night for awhile, it's got serious slope, but after not riding for a week it felt awesome. I'm really looking forward to getting back to the OG next weekend, and hopefully doing some filming this week. Shintaro has completely inspired me to progress!

man, i've been trying to learn halflashes for my steam ride-ins for 6 months or more and have only pulled 3 or 4. my one handed peg wheelies are improving though.

Last night I rode right next to my house in a school parking lot. Lots of slope, lots of wind, super hot. A dad and his 10 year old son saw me riding and sat down on the lot and watched for about an hour. That was pretty cool. The kid had this astonished look of amazement that was priceless; like his mind was blown. I bet he's never even seen flatland before Tonight, the OG. I really need some level ground man. lol @ Havok, half lashes are no joke. that's the hardest trick I've learned so far. some tips if it will help: learn them in a straight line first, it's better technique, then learn in a circle. the hand that stays on the bar should initially be locked fairly rigidly to the body. you basically want almost zero movement in it while the seat comes around. try keeping the free leg somewhat back to balance out. i noticed that i actually watch the tire and make sure there's no twitchyness when i kick the frame around. keep at it, you'll get it, you've learned a lot this past year!

Thanks, man. i feel like i'm right at the cusp of getting them, but then it rains or something and i can't ride for a day or 2 and i'm back to feeling lost. lock my hand rigidly to the body -- got it, i'll try that today, hopefully.

Tonight a couple fixed gear riders I met at a (crummy) spot I was trying out led me to a really good place to ride! Rode with them for a couple hours before the rain. I'm so stoked that I finally have a place close by to ride. weeeeeeeeeeeeeee

thanks Havok, yeah-it's been about a month since I've had a place nearby to ride during the week. I'm literally ecstatic about it and I can't wait to start filming new stuff

Memphis weather is in a short break, with no heat index for the rest of the week. highs only in the low 90's. i rode twice yesterday, morning and evening, and am heading out later. Jm, i'm gonna film my struggles with the 2footed backward steams. i know you got those down, so you can critique me.
