jim, same here, I've been having a difficult time mastering the hitchhiker to steamroller. It seems I can do a steamroller to hitchhiker perfect, but still have trouble in reverse. My goal is to get them down, hopefully soon....Keep Riding

Man, I'm starting to feel bad. Haven't practiced the steamroller at all over the last couple of weeks and I'm thinking that whatever progress I made is probably gone by now. Need to get out and try it as soon as the rain stops. Maybe tomorrow.

late last night, for the first time, after MANY hours of riding, i pulled my first hitchiker back to steam. i rolled it about 4 feet and fell off the back. i tried to do it a second time but was pretty cashed from all the day's effort. i'm still waiting to put it all together and do it clean. soon.....

Steamroller - A Month Later ==================== Yeah, it's been a month (actually, a little longer) since I posted this goal committing to doing my first steamroller within two months. Still hasn't happened, but there has been some progress: * Can roll more steadily and consistently for 10+ ft * Pulled my first smoothie ride-out last night! Still haven't worked too much on the ride in, but I suspect it's going to be the hardest part yet. Once I get that, though, I'll be able to put it all together. Still have until Feb 2 by my count What about everybody else? Oh, congrats Jim!!!

Way to go guys!!! I was just looking at my time frame..I think I am right no track. I can now let go of my frame and let it swing infront of me. I can't do it consitantly yet but I can do it several times in a session. I am still having problems catching my seat and coasting but that will be this month. I can safely say I have reach my short term goal of letting my frame swing in front of me. It may take me another month to learn how to catch it now. Then another month to get out of it......well if I can coast it for a bit I should be able to get out. I still have problems with getting out of steams but I can do it from time to time.
Awesome!!!!!

Was able to do a couple more smoothie rideouts on my steamroller last night. Feeling better on the rolling part, too. Next time I ride, I will definitely start working on the ride in.

Goal accomplished! I pulled my first complete steamroller today. It was sketchy as hell and didn't roll for very long, but there it was: a steamroller Now it's a matter of practicing and practicing. I'm not even sure how long before I get it dialed. Too bad I ride by myself and had no camera to perform for like Mark, so you'll just have to take my word for it

Congradulations Icastel!! Reaching goals is AWESOME. I am worried that I will have to take long to reach mine but I am so very close to it now. Glad you made it and you were able to share the news with the community.

Thanks Mark. I'm sure you'll hit your goal in due time! I think most of the time tricks take longer to learn as you move into more difficult ones, but it's fun

Achieved my goal!! YEsterday I got my Grip Rides back!! Finally, they have returned!! I just went for them on my Haro and they came back! I started cruising them in a circle, even tried to do a bar spin with my feet, it wasn't pretty. Maybe I can set the bar!! LOL
